Access to the library and its materials is open to all, and free. While the majority of the books are in French, there is quite a generously sized section of books in English too. The loaning of books is subject to the administration of the canton, and this does involve a small fee. Up to 4 books can be borrowed at a time for the duration of one month. The costs are listed below:

This small, privately-owned art gallery lies approximately 1 km from Brossac centre. It is open from the beginning of May until the end of September. During this season, it is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 15:00 until 18:00.

The clinic sees up to 40 people a day, and has parking and disabled access. There is also a dietician available during the same time.

Mme. Sylvie Goy has been serving Brossac since September 2008, whereas Mme. Marina Paul since July 2010. The two nurses have worked together for 8 years though at Barbezieux Hospital. Relocating to Brossac, they hope to serve the community and the patients they have come to care for.

The tourist office is easily identifiable in the Brossac village centre though it is actually a small room attached to the Mairie (town hall). It is filled with an impressive array of leaflets and brochures on the regional attractions, most with both French and English translation.

The mairie is attched to the Tourist Office and in it you will find lots of information about things going on in Brossac- for example, for clubs and activities you can join on a more permanent basis such as judo. There is also a stand of leaflets that provide a wealth of advice about health, safety around the home, recycling and public services. The mairie also offers help in tracing your family tree.
